I'm calling it a winter
So! Two kids with the flu.
First it's the ice problem, then it's the flu problem.
What is this, winter?
At the doctor's office: Did you get her the flu shot? (looks at chart) Noooooo.
Did you get HER the flu shot? (looks at chart) Nooooooo. That might be something you should consider next year.
She (nods toward not-yet-sick child) will be getting sick in the next few days.
(Which she did. Right on cue.)
Spousal: Did you let her drink from the same glass?
Me: Hey man. The doctor said it was inevitable, even if I DIDN"T make them share the same juice glass.
Just kidding on that last part.
See you next spring.

I hope you are all feeling better soon! Taking care of a sick one (or two) is hard enough without a doc throwing flu shot guilt your way.
It's a pretty bad flu season up here. Two of mine had it (one of them had gotten the flu shot - go figure). So as far as I can tell the flu shot didn't help one bit. By the way I also got the flu shot and suffered through the flu this past weekend myself. I guess I can comfort myself with "it could have been worse had I not gotten the shot?" but I don't think so. Good luck - hope you and the hubby escape the epidemic! Col
As someone coming off the back of an entire household having gastro, the flu would be delightful.

FYI We don't do flu shots either. I sort of cross my fingers each year that it doesn't hit our household. Hope by now you're all better. Your Sis
woulda. coulda. shoulda. I hate it when people make suggestions when they are too late to be helpful. I might have told the doctor/nurse to shut their pie hole--ok maybe not--but I would have thought it.
